Licensed Social Worker, Certified Domestic Violence Professional, Certified Trauma Professional

Rosangela Maldonado

MSW, LSW, CDVP
Therapy for ages 15+, Bilingual English and Spanish

My priority as a therapist is to create a welcoming, professional, and supportive relationship where your unique needs are at the center of our work together. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, life stress, and the impact of trauma. I enjoy clients that are open to dialogue, willing to think outside the box, and open to learn different coping techniques.

Therapy can be done in English or Spanish, creating space for you to express yourself fully in the language where you feel most comfortable.

Sobre mí (About Me):
I enjoy going for walks, running 5K races, and watching police and crime documentaries. I also love spending time with my family, traveling and taking weekend trips to discover new places.

BCBS PPO, Aetna, Anthem, and Cigna/Evernorth.

What does a typical session with you look like?

A client should expect to walk into a judgement-free zone where they can feel safe to share their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The client can also expect to laugh, hear jokes when appropriate, and celebrate their wins with me.

What are your top specialties?

Addiction, anxiety, coping skills, depression, domestic violence, life transitions, trauma and PTSD.

What would you say to someone considering therapy with you?

I offer a safe, supportive space where you can share your story at your own pace. Together, we’ll explore practical tools and meaningful options to help you navigate life’s challenges, improve your mental well-being, and move through transitions with greater clarity and confidence.

Who is your ideal client?

I am passionate about working with clients that have experienced domestic violence, sexual abuse, trauma, and addiction disorders. I feel a connection to this population based on my history and professional experience working as a victim advocate for over 10 years. I bring both expertise and deep empathy to this work.

How do clients describe you?

Compassionate, funny, and outgoing.

Rosangela’s Approach

My approach to therapy is very welcoming, calm, and accepting. I tend to use a trauma-informed approach, along with cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). I use these techniques as a way to show compassion, and give you the time you need to share your story.

I use a client-centered, trauma-focused, and strengths-based approach to help you find your voice, strengthen coping skills, and process life’s challenges in a safe, compassionate space. Your sessions should be a space where you feel heard and empowered to make your own choices.
