Uncovering the Unspoken: Bringing Eating Disorders to the Surface as a Secondary Concern

This introductory workshop will provide foundational information about working with eating disorders as a secondary concern in the therapeutic space. The presenter will use lecture, case conceptualizations, and discussions to support the learning objectives and facilitate learning. 

Upon completion, participants will be able to: 

• Identify the DSM criteria for eating disorder diagnoses
• Explain the greater impact of eating disorders, including with marginalized populations
• Recognize the common warning signs of eating disorders
• Classify different evidence-based treatments for eating disorders
• Identify specific questions to ask clients to assess for eating disorders
